First Dance

First Dance

By MetaMetrics Inc.

This passage is about a girl who is going to her first school dance.

Alexa was going to her first dance. She was so nervous. Her mom helped her get ready. Her date would be there soon to pick her up. First Alexa put on her dress. It was pale blue. It matched her eyes. Then her mother put her hair up in a twist. She held it in place with a pretty hairpin. Then Alexa put on her makeup. Her mother said she could wear lip gloss and blush. Alexa was still a bit young for a lot of makeup. But it was a special occasion. Alexa looked at herself in the mirror. She thought that she looked nice. She hoped her date thought so, too. The doorbell rang. Alexa's date was here. She was ready to start her evening.
